The threat of inclement weather expected Wednesday night has led to the cancellation of Rock Hill’s Fourth of July Celebration.
City of Rock Hill officials told WRHI late Tuesday that Red White and Boom on Main Street and the associated fireworks have been struck from today’s schedule.
“We have been watching weather forecasts very closely all day,” said City spokesman Steven Gibson in a written statement. “Safety is our number one priority when planning events in Rock Hill, so the decision has been made to reschedule our Red White and BOOM event.”
Details as to when it may eventually take place are uncertain.
