Man passes note to pharmacy clerk; flees with drugs

Rock Hill Police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred Tuesday morning at the CVS Pharmacy on Cherry Road.

At approximately, 10:09 a.m., Rock Hill Police spokesman Mark Bollinger said a white male walked in the drug store and presented a note demanding drugs to a pharmacist at the rear of the store.

The man implied he had a weapon, Bollinger said.

The pharmacist gave the suspect an undisclosed amount of drugs in a brown paper bag and the man fled the store.

The suspect is described as a white male, six feet tall, 25 to 35 years of age, with a beard and mustache. Bollinger said he was wearing a dark baseball cap, blue jeans and a light-colored button up shirt.

Detectives are now at the scene investigating the robbery. Bollinger said K-9 units are at the scene.

There were no injures reported.
