A Jury Thursday convicted and sentenced a Rock Hill man in the murder of a hospital executive in two years ago in Southpark.
Prosecutors successfully proved Chauncey Sterling shot and killed Bob Barber as he was walking home from a coffee shop off Fairview Road. Sterling may face a sentence of up to life in prison.
The defense for Sterling wrapped up its case Thursday morning.
Under cross-examination by prosecutors, Sterling was asked to hold the gun he admits to using to kill Barber.
His hand visibly shook as he pointed it at prosecutor Clayton Jones, who wanted to show the jury how close Sterling was to Barber when the shots were fired.
Sterling told the court he was tired of living off the state and wanted more money to support his family.
