There was standing room only Tuesday night as the latest class of Rock Hill’s Adult Education program received their high school diplomas.

Just a quarter of the 180 students took part in graduation exercises at Castle Heights Middle School last night as the program’s director, Sandy Andrews, explains how seeing an adult receive their diploma is an experience she never forgets.

Andrews says students who successfully complete the program are now privy to opportunities previously out of reach.

In addition to the GED, Rock Hill’s Adult Education program includes career readiness courses, a literacy center and community-level computer classes.
