The first phase of infrastructure improvements along White Street adjacent to the Cotton Factory are just about complete.
City officials say Sealand Contractors will perform final work to White Street, between Dave Lyle Boulevard and Wilson Street, during the week of April 8.
Some lane restrictions and traffic pattern changes will be necessary.
“Motorists are encouraged to use caution when traveling in that area, and watch for posted signage,” said city spokeswoman Katie Quinn Friday afternoon. “Weather permitting, work is expected to be complete by April 13.”
First-phase improvements to this portion of White Street include new sidewalks, curb and gutter and landscaping.
The next phase of street improvements includes work along White Street between Wilson Street and Stewart Ave.
