A Clover native has been tapped to fill an empty seat on the Clover School Board.

District spokesman Mychal Frost said Tuesday Rob Wallace will fill the unexpired term of the late Barbara Parrish. Parrish’s former seat represented the district south of S.C. 49 and along the S.C. 274 corridor.

Wallace is a territory manager for his family owned business RWA Marketing. Frost says Wallace is active in the community as a basketball and soccer coach with the Clover Recreation Department.

Wallace is a deacon at Clover Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church. He and his wife Mary have three children in the district, two at Crowders Creek Elementary and one at Oakridge Middle School.

Wallace is a graduate of Clover High School and later attended Winthrop University.

He will be officially sworn in by board attorney Hank Owens during a ceremony and reception prior to the April school board meeting.
