Parts of Main, Wilson Streets to close over the next few weeks

City of Rock Hill officials said Monday the portion of Main Street from Hagins Street to West Black Street will be closed Friday afternoon to remove low-hanging tree limbs along the street.

Also, Rock Hill Utilities Sewer Division will close Wilson Street from Sunset Drive  to Scoggins Street beginning  on Monday, March 18 from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m.

Residents are asked to use Sunset Drive, Rauch and Scoggins Streets as an alternate route.

City officials say this closure is necessary to complete  a sewer upgrade and will last approximately six weeks.

Weather permitting, throughout the next few weeks, the two blocks of Wilson Street will be open only to local traffic during the day.
