Florida family’s stolen truck found in Berkley County; trailer still missing

A truck belonging to a Florida family that was stolen early Monday morning in Rock Hill has been recovered.

Rock Hill Police Capt. Mark Bollinger said today the truck, a trailer and more than $100,000 in heirlooms was stolen from the Microtel Inn off I-77 sometime Monday morning.

The truck was recovered late Tuesday afternoon in St. Stephen, S.C., a small town in Berkley County.

The trailer, and its contents, are still missing.

The family was on their way back to the Florida after collecting the belongings of a deceased relative in Ohio.

Police documents show the stolen items include jewelry, tools and furniture.
