The Come See Me Board of Directors today handed out some awards as it prepares for this year’s festival beginning three weeks from today. The Beyond the Call of Glen Award was bestowed upon the members of the first Come See Me Festival in 1962. Rock Hill Parks, Recreation and Tourism director Ed Thompson praised the 1962 committee.

The Beyond the Call of Glen Award also recognizes festival founder Icky Albright. Meanwhile, Brian Hovis was named chairman of the 2014 Come See Me Festival. Hovis has been involved with the festival since 2009. The 50th annual Come See Me Festival this year begins April 11th and runs through April 20th.
