The University of South Carolina has announced three finalists for the position of regional campus dean at USC Lancaster.

The finalists are Maxie Myron (Ron) Cox Jr., associate dean for academic student affairs and associate professor of history at USC Lancaster; Walter P. Collins III, assistant dean of student affairs and associate professor of French and English at USC Lancaster; and Christopher L. Nesmith, director of the Evening Program and assistant professor of English in Extended University at USC Columbia.

USC Palmetto College Vice Provost Chris Plyler said interviews are scheduled through March 8 on the Lancaster and Columbia campuses.

Back in December, Lucius “Stan” Emanuel was named as USC Lancaster’s Interim Dean. Emanuel’s appointment followed the retirement of Dr. John Catalano effective December 31.

The appointment of a permanent dean is anticipated by April 15.
