Obama, Haley and Graham rated in new Winthrop poll

The results of the latest highly-touted Winthrop University poll have been released.  Here are some of the highlights.  President Obama’s approval rating among South Carolina residents is near 48 percent, which is about four percentage points below his national approval rating.  46.5 percent of Palmetto State residents do not approve of his performance.  Governor Nikki Haley’s approval rating has risen since the December Winthrop poll, up to 43.7 percent.  US Senator Lindsey Graham’s approval rating among registered South Carolina voters is 48.4 percent, but 71.6 percent among Republicans and GOP-leaning independents.  In the latest Winthrop poll, more than 1000 Palmetto State residents were surveyed between February 9th and 17th.
