Authorities have arrested a Lancaster man in connection with a number of larcenies near the Great Falls Highway area of Lancaster County.

Sheriff Barry Faile said Thursday that 36-year-old Corey Cook was arrested after investigators found stolen property at Hayden’s home on Great Falls Highway with evidence linking him to the crime.

Cook faces three charges of malicious injury to property of the Polar Ice Machine at 1746 Great Falls Highway at the end of August 2012 and again in mid-December 2012, stealing money from both machines. Cook is also charged with breaking in and stealing less than $2,000 from the Laser Car Wash in mid-February 2013.

Investigators also found drug paraphernalia. Deputies say the found cocaine and rug paraphernalia while executing a search warrant at Cook’s home.

“We are thankful to have Cook in jail,” Lancaster County Sheriff Barry Faile said. “[Cook] has been causing a lot of problems in that area.  Our investigators worked really hard to put this case together and I am thankful for that hard work.  We are also thankful for those persons who came forward with valuable information that helped this investigation.”

Cook is currently incarcerated at the Lancaster County Detention Center awaiting a bond hearing.
