The Anderson County School District has named Rock Hill Schools Associate Superintendent Harriet Jaworowski as one of three finalists for the district’s next superintendent.

The other finalists are Thomas Wilson, Dir. of Governmental Affairs at the Georgia Dept. of Education, and Dr. Veta Powell New, Superintendent of Oglethorpe County Schools in Lexington, Ga.

Dr. Jaworowski has served in her current position since 2006. She has also worked in the Isle of Wight County Schools in Virginia, the University of South Carolina at Aiken, and Aiken County Public Schools.

Her first job as an educator was in Anderson School District Two.
