In what some are calling a snowball effect to area growth, the newest national chain restaurant in Rock Hill’s Manchester shopping district opened Monday.

Five Guys Burgers and Fries opened next door to the Buffalo Wild Wings, which opens next Monday. Five Guys General Manager Lontz Wilkinson explains the demand for the restaurant has come for some time now.

Wilkinson says this is the regional franchisee’s ninth location in the area, with a tenth location set to open next year in Gastonia, N.C. He says the choice to grow on Dave Lyle Blvd. was strategic.

Lontz says when next-door-neighbor Buffalo Wild Wings opens, the two national chains will fuel even more development in the Manchester Village area.
