For the third time in a little over a decade, the City of Rock Hill launched the newest version of its website Tuesday as city officials say the way citizens use the site continues to change.
City of Rock Hill spokeswoman Katie Quinn says the new site features three distinct links that can quickly help those that do business with the city access exactly what is needed.
At first glance — those purposes are primarily visitors, businesses and residents. Quinn says all those features are accessible with frequently used tools positioned for quick reference.
Quinn says the site was last revamped in 2007 and allowed for limited users to update the site. Now, Quinn says, the idea is for individual departments to share the load and update their own content to provide up-to-date information.
One of the new features includes an E-Notify system, where users can register to receive updates from various city departments.
The overhaul also includes a separate site designed specifically for mobile users with links tailored for visitors on the go.
