A Rock Hill couple could face up to ten years in prison in connection with an identity theft scheme.

U.S. Attorney Bill Nettles said Thursday that a federal grand jury indicted 29-year-old Teneka Hall and 23-year-old Kyree McDonald on charges of Aggravated Identity Theft and Credit Card fraud.

The maximum penalty Hall and McDonald could receive is 10 years imprisonment for credit card fraud plus a mandatory, consecutive 24 month sentence for aggravated identity theft and fines of up to $250,000.

The case was investigated by the United States Secret Service and is assigned to Assistant United States Attorney DeWayne Pearson of the Columbia office for prosecution.

The United States Attorney said that all charges in this Indictment are merely accusations and that all defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
