York County Council District 6 race ends with a Blackwell victory

A paperwork mistake earlier this year looks to be the major force behind the re-election of York County Council Chairman Britt Blackwell’s re-election to county council.
Blackwell was set to face challenger Gary Williams earlier this year in the GOP primary, but after Williams and more than 200 others were knocked off the ballot, Blackwell sealed his bid for another term in office as the GOP candidate.
Blackwell said having no primary also turned what may have been a short campaign into a long, drawn-out effort.
