[media-credit id=21 align=”alignright” width=”300″][/media-credit]There were some anxious moments in downtown Rock Hill Thursday morning as hundreds of children waited for the arrival of Santa Claus for the annual ChristmasVille festival. Even Mother Goose became frustrated at one point.
Finally, after a more than 30-minute delay, Santa finally arrived by helicopter and spoke to the crowd.
ChristmasVille officially kicks off with opening ceremonies and the lighting of the village at 7 p.m. on Main Street at Elk Avenue.
The festival continues until Sunday, and features more than 70 events. There could be as many as 80,000 people attending this year’s festival.
