A Lancaster man remains in stable condition at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte after he was shot several times in the chest and arm late Monday.

Police say just after 10 p.m. Monday, Damon Robinson, 24, came across several strangers behind a vacant house in his neighborhood and walked over to investigate.

Authorities say Robinson brought this Pit bull with him, unleashed the dog on the strangers, then took several bullets to the chest.

Police say they have yet to identify the suspects responsible for the shooting. The dog was not injured.
