The Champion for Children Award will recognize the person or entity in the Rock Hill area who strives in their actions and decisions to ask, “Is it Good for the Children?”
Ginny Horne, president of the Rock Hill Youth Council, says the nominee can be an adult, business or organization.
Rock Hill Mayor Doug Echols says there are those who are involved in asking the so-called #1 Question every day.
The award is sponsored by the #1 Question Ambassadors, the Commission for Children and Youth and the Rock Hill department of Parks, Recreation and Tourism.
The awards committee will meet in late February to determine the Champion for Children recipient, and will notify the winner in early March.
