York County Manager Jim Baker is once again a finalist for a similar job in another state. Baker tells WRHI he’s one of several finalists for the city manager’s position in Chesapeake City, Virginia.

While Baker hasn’t yet been offered or accepted the position, York County Councilman Chad Williams says he’d like to see the county do what it can to keep Baker.

Chesapeake is the third largest city in the state, with a 2010 population of roughly 220 thousand.

In November of 2011, Baker was named one of four finalists for the county administrator’s job in Sarasota, Florida.
