York County’s Convention and Visitors Bureau has a new executive directer to fill the shoes of Bennish Brown, who left the bureau this summer for a job in Washington State.

Monday, Lisa Meadows, who was most recently the head of the Bristol, Tenn., Chamber of Commerce was named to the York County post.

York County Convention and Visitors Bureau chairman Gene Roper says Meadows will be a great fit.

Meadows is a past Recipient of the Business Journal’s Forty Under 40 award and is a graduate of the College of Charleston.

She starts October 15.
