A Rock Hill man was found dead Wednesday in an electrical service room at Marlboro County High School in Bennettsville.
WMBF-TV reports 44-year-old Jeffrey Cheek was a sub-contractor working on a generator at the school where school officials discovered him just after 8 a.m. Wednesday.
Marlboro County Coroner Tim Brown says an initial examination shows Cheek died from electrocution, and a more exhaustive autopsy is scheduled to take place at the Medical University of South Carolina.
Cheek was a 1986 graduate of Catawba Academy and worked for Nixon Power Company.
