Each week during the 2012 high school football season, we’ll be bringing you the highlights of the night’s action during The End Zone — our two-hour post game show focused on all of your local teams.
But after the last bleacher is swept and the fences are locked at the stadium you can still catch your favorite highlights from the game.
South Pointe at Clover
The Blue Eagles still trying to get their 1st win of the season, but it wouldn’t be easy as the invite the undefeated Stallions of South Pointe to Clover. The Stallions would jump on the Blue Eagles early and often.
That Touchdown pass from Tay Blake to PJ Heath puts the Stallions up 7 to nothing early. On the next 2 yes 2 possessions CJ Pendergrass would carry it in for the score. One from 50 yards out. At the end of 1 the Stallions were on top 21 to nothing.
Early in the 2nd quarter it was CJ Pendergrass one more time.
Pendergrass’ 3 touchdown of the night put the Stallions up 28 to nothing.
The Stallions would strike once more before the half.
Tay Blake would not be outdone pushing the score to 35 nothing at the half.
The Stallions would go on to win it 42 to nothing and remain undefeated on the season.
Northwestern @ York
Northwestern traveled 12 miles north the bad lands of York where the Cougars were highly upset after last week’s overtime loss to the Nation Ford Falcons.
Northwestern did wait long to strike as they got on the board with a 19 yard field goal. Trojans lead 3 to nothing with 7 minutes left in the 1st quarter.
The Trojans capitalized off of a Cougar Fumble and this time put it in the end zone.
Rudolf to Mustafa Love for the 5 yard touchdown pass putting the Trojans up 10 to nothing at the half.
The 3rd quarter would belong to the Cougars. First Ryan Moore would get the Cougars on the board.
The Cougars would cut the lead 10 to 7.
Then With 4:10 in the 3rd Quarter on a 4th down Field Goal kick the Trojans jumped offsides giving York a 1st down. Ryan Moore would take it in on the next play.
That 15 yard touchdown run by 3rd Quarter Ryan Moore gives York its first lead of the game 14 to 10. Northwestern got into the endzone making the score 17 to 14 Trojans. Then late in the game, York struck again.
That put the Cougars up 21 to 17 but time was left for Northwestern to get something going.
That 1 yard Mason Rudolph plunge gave the Trojans the lead for good and the Trojans go on to hand York their second loss of the season 23 to 21.
Lancaster @ Fort Mill
Lancaster rolled into Fort Mill tonight after getting their First region win of the season last week over Clover, and the Briuns’ Kadrius Jackson picked up where he left off last week.
Jackson to Jay Hood putting the Bruins up 6 to nothing. Kadrius Jackson was finished.
That Jackson Touchdown run pushed the score to 12 nothing.
Fort Mill would get on the scoreboard with 1 minute and 3 seconds remaining in the 2nd quarter
Ryland Wells on that 26 yard touchdown run sending the Yellow Jackets to Halftime down 12 to 7.
The 3rd quarter of this game would belong to the Legs of Ryland Wells.
Wells from 37 yards out giving Fort Mill their first lead. 14 to 12.
with 14 seconds left in the 3rd it was Ryland Wells again.
Wells 3rd Touchdown of the night pushes the lead to 21-12. The Yellow Jackets went on to pull out the win 48 to 12.
Nation Ford @ Rock Hill
Nation Ford coming off the huge win in overtime last week hoping to travel to D3 take on a MAD Rock Hill team that lost last week to South Pointe 32 to nothing.
Rock Hill didn’t take long to get on the board
Erby connecting with Jallel Scott for a 12 yard touchdown to put the Bearcats up 7 to nothing.
Nation Ford would soar right back down the field as Kenny Seddle would cap a 65 yard drive with a 1 yard touchdown dive to knot the score at 7 apiece after 1. The only Score in the 2nd Quarter would again belong to Jallel Scott.
That 8 yard pass from Erby to Scott would send the Rock Hill Bearcats to the half with a 14 to 7 lead.
After a scoreless 3rd quarter the Nation Ford Falcons would tie this ball game.
Daniel Jackson on that Touchdown from 5 yards out.
On Rock Hill’s Next possession Nation Ford’s deffense would come to the party.
Andrew Bruce would recover the fumble in the endzone to put the Falcons up 20-14 after the missed extra point. The Falcons would get a late interception after Rock Hill had what they thought was a 97 yard hook and lateral play but was called back on a penalty. The Falcons improve to 7 and 2 on the season.
