Economic Developers in Rock Hill announced Friday plans to launch a small business incubator in Rock Hill’s downtown to help grow technology-based businesses.
The incubator would provide services and to accelerate the formation and growth of more locally based businesses.
Rock Hill Economic Development Corporation Chairman Andy Shene is enthusiastic about the initiative.
Toy Rhea, who chairs the economic development group’s leadership committee, explains what services would be provided to start-up firms.
The model used by the technology incubator has been successfully applied in other South Carolina communities in cooperation with Winthrop University.
