[media-credit name=”CHARLOTTE KNIGHTS” align=”alignright” width=”300″][/media-credit]A committee has been created to look for future uses of the Knights Stadium property in Fort Mill that will be vacated when the Triple-A Chicago White Sox affiliate leaves for uptown Charlotte after next season.
York County Economic Development Director Mark Farris chairs that panel. Farris says it’s not known yet whether the stadium itself is an asset or liability for the county.
He says demolition of the stadium is a possibility.
This week Farris updated members of the economic development board on the spec building.
Farris has repeatedly said that business prospects want to move into existing buildings instead of having to construct their own.
