Tonight President Barack Obama will make his acceptance speech at the Democratic National Convention in Charlotte. The threat of thunderstorms prompted the party to move the speech from Bank of America Stadium to Time Warner Cable Arena.

York County Councilman Bump Roddey, a South Carolina delegate at the convention, says it’s important to keep delegates and other convention-goers safe.

Roddey says the energy inside the arena tonight will be electrifying and may blow the roof off.

As a delegate Roddey is guaranteed a ticket. Meanwhile, he says former President Bill Clinton delivered an elegant speech at the convention Wednesday night.

Roddey says if he wasn’t a delegate he would watch Obama’s acceptance speech tonight in the comfort of his home with his family.
