Rock Hill JC Penny reopens with new store-inside-a-store

One of the anchor stores at the Rock Hill Galleria cut the ribbon today on its 35,000 square foot expansion.

Dozens turned out for the event at JC Penney, which included some freebies. Store Manager Darlene Todd says there are more shoes and more jewelry for sale now.

Todd says a lot of the new space targets female customers.

Todd says the upcoming addition of a restaurant, arcade, bar and bowling alley at the Galleria will produce more foot traffic for JC Penney.

Todd says women control 98-percent of the disposable income in many families. She says the expanded J-C Penney is bigger and better.
