Lancaster deputies identify battery thief suspect

Authorities in Lancaster County have identified the man wanted in the theft of more than 13-hundred dollars in used car batteries earlier this month.

Deputies say 46-year-old Jeffrey McKnight swiped the 150 car batteries from the Indian Land Walmart August 15, carting them away in a dark-colored SUV.

Deputies say security camera footage shows McKnight dressed in a yellow safety vest in what was likely an attempt to make himself look like a Walmart employee.
