providedThe Rock Hill-based company announced Wednesday the launch of the whole-home DVR system dubbed “Moxi,” a system Comporium’s Executive Vice President and COO Glenn McFadden says comes with many new advanced features.
“Moxi will transform how our customers enjoy our digital video service,” said McFadden. “In addition to adding the flexibility of watching any recorded show in any room that they choose; and at 500GB, the Moxi system has more than three times the storage capacity for recorded shows than the older set-top boxes.”
Comporium tested the Moxi system for several months for several months with select customers. The company said that feedback has been overwhelmingly positive.
“Very few wanted to turn their Moxi back in and return to using traditional DVRs,” McFadden added. “Many enjoyed the fact that it could save up to 75 hours of their favorite shows in HD. Some said they liked the Emmy award-winning ARRIS interactive guide to navigate their video choices.”

Comporium officials say the Moxi service is now available, while plans are in the works to roll out a video on demand service by the end of the year.
