Rock Hill businessman John Rinehart Senior says he turned in more than 1,300 signatures to get his name on the November ballot as a petition candidate for York County Council District Two.
He says one of those challenges is bringing quality jobs to York County.:
He says he and more than 40 volunteers went door-to-door in the district trying to get signatures.:
Rinehart is the founder and chairman of the board of Rinehart Realty Corporation and faces first-term incumbent Bruce Henderson in the November 6th general election.
Rinehart was one of some 200 candidates removed from the June Republican primary ballot because of a mixup over financial paperwork.
