Council approves construction bid for Old Town Market

Rock Hill City Council voted unanimously Monday to award the contract for the Old Town Market project to Leitner Construction, which submitted the low bid of just over $522,000. Rock Hill Economic and Urban Development Director Stephen Turner says the project has several components.

Turner says the Leitner bid was well under-budget.

The project is being paid for using downtown Tax Increment Financing.

The Rinehart building will house a Market Hall and the Millstone Pizza Restaurant, while the Boulware building will be modified to provide three storefront spaces that open to the Farmers Market.
