Authorities in Lancaster said late Thursday they’ve now made five arrests in the home invasion and later murder of Donald Morris on South York Street. Morris was robbed and pistol-whipped on June 13th, and killed five days later.

19-year-old Keith Robinson Junior and 23-year-old Jeremy Thomas both face charges of Murder, Armed Robbery, burglary, and weapons possession, while 20-year-old Brian Campbell, 27-year-old Trumane Daniel and 21-year-old Ahmad Craig, all of Lancaster, face accessory charges related to the Burglary and Armed Robbery of Morris’ home.

Lancaster Police Chief Harlean Howard says apprehending the five suspects has been a team effort.

Lancaster Police Captain Scott Grant said Morris was briefly hospitalized following the June 13th home invasion, where thousands of dollars in cash were stolen from his home.

They also tried to warn him before the June 18th murder.

Howard told reporters that despite the violent crime, the Red Rose City is a great place to live and raise a family.

Howard says more charges are still pending on the five suspects.
