Economic Development Leaders in York County got a better look Tuesday at ways to strategically target industries and areas for growth.

The county’s economic development corporation commissioned consultant Sanford Holshouser to take a closer look at what industries could grow from what York County has to offer.

The study identifies social media, increased inventory, a larger workforce and economic incentives as ways for York County to stand out.

Faris says while cost of implementing the strategies featured is a bit high — between 150 and 200-thousand dollars, the key is to becoming more consistent.

Faris says York County is aggressive when it needs to be on projects — and that aggressiveness is set on a project-by-project basis.
